After two lockdowns in two years, the Kegworth Public School’s graduating class of 2021 wanted to make their parting gift to the school STAND OUT. Cue Samuel Hall artist.
Working with Sam on a design for a prominent wall screaming out for a mural, the year 6 class chose a kookaburra, the school’s emblem. Sam, who has commissions throughout schools across New South Wales, happily obliged and over the course of two days installed what has become the backdrop to the school.
Here we captured the spirit of the installation, painted amongst the kids in the playground, set to the beautiful sounds of children playing, engaging with Sam, and accompanied by the school choir. Enjoy.
