Discover Sailing Days are annual events run by sailing clubs across Australia to lend access to sailing for the broader community and increase participation in the sport. Yachting Australia has produced a series of video communications for sailing clubs to assist them in the organisation and running of these events and other Discover Sailing activities. This video is targeted at sailing clubs, and more specifically the Discover Sailing Host, or the person who is the first point of contact for new participants. The intention of the video is to help debunk the myths surrounding the sport of sailing as elitist and non-inclusive, and help clubs to take steps to attract and retain new participants.
